What is the Freshness Stamp?
Every account in TrueStake carries a Freshness Stamp — a small badge, usually reading something like "Data through July 14, 2026," that tells you exactly how current your dashboard is.
What it actually measures
The Freshness Stamp reflects the date of your account's last successful nightly reconciliation run — the process that pulls new on-chain activity for your validators, reconciles it to the wei, and turns it into receipts. When that run succeeds, the stamp advances to cover the new date. When it doesn't, the stamp stays where it was.
It's per-account, not a system status page
The stamp is scoped to your account, not to TrueStake as a whole. If another customer's ingestion run fails — a relay outage, a malformed payload, anything — that has no bearing on your stamp. One customer's stale data never gets painted over by a green status elsewhere, and your stamp being current says nothing about anyone else's account. Think of it as data provenance — "how current is what you're looking at" — not a system-health indicator.
Data updates nightly
Under normal operation, your Freshness Stamp advances by one day, every day, as the nightly reconciliation run picks up new on-chain activity. You shouldn't need to think about it day to day — it's there for the moments you want to confirm exactly how current a number is before you rely on it.
What a stale stamp means — and what it doesn't
If the stamp stops advancing, here's what's true and what isn't:
- True: everything shown is complete and accurate through the stamped date. Nothing is missing from what's displayed — the data just hasn't caught up to today yet.
- Not true: nothing is lost. A stalled run doesn't drop history; it just hasn't run yet, or didn't succeed on its last attempt. Once the next run succeeds, the stamp advances and you're caught up.
A stamp that's a day or two behind is normal — ingestion runs overnight and there's natural variance in when it completes.
When it's worth a support email
If your stamp stays stuck for several days running, that's outside normal variance and worth flagging. Email us with your withdrawal address prefix and we'll look into what's holding your account's ingestion run back.
